DIRECTOR OF PROJECTS
Full-time – Cairo, Egypt

Mohamed Abousamra Designs is seeking an experienced, passionate, and creatively driven Director of Projects to lead and oversee our growing portfolio of interior design projects. Based in our Cairo studio, this senior role calls for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in high-end residential and commercial design, deep architectural understanding, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion. The Director of Projects will act as the key link between the studio, clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring that our creative vision is realized with precision and excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT LEADER SHIP

• Manage and oversee multiple design projects across residential and commercial sectors, from initial concept through execution and installation.

• Lead project planning, scope development, budget tracking, and timeline management to ensure seamless delivery.

• Ensure all design output aligns with Mohamed Abousamra Designs’ standards of excellence and aesthetic direction.

TEAM MANAGEMENT & MENTORSHIP

• Lead, mentor, and support design teams through all project stages.

• Help nurture a collaborative studio culture and provide clear guidance on deliverables and performance expectations.

CLIENT & CONSULTANT RELATIONS

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, site teams, suppliers, and consultants.

• Facilitate smooth coordination between all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the design intent.

• Oversee contract reviews and scope validation.

DESIGN OVERSIGHT

• Uphold and guide design integrity across every stage of the project.

• Provide design direction and creative input where needed.

• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulatory frameworks.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field.

• Minimum of 10–12 years of experience leading luxury residential and commercial interior projects.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-completion work and design leadership.

• High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.

• Strong knowledge of local construction processes, materials, and permitting in Egypt.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Fluency in Arabic and English required.

• Availability for site visits and client meetings across Egypt and the region.
